" Accident" An accident is an undesired event often caused by unsafe acts and/or unsafe conditions that results in, or has the potential for, physical harm to persons and/or damage to property and/or business interruption. "danger" means anything which may cause injury or damage to persons or property; "hazard" means a source of or exposure to danger; "health and safety equipment" means any article or part thereof which is manufactured, provided or installed in the interest of the health and safety of any person; "healthy" means free from illness or injury attributable to occupational causes; "incident" An Incident is an unplanned event, which could or does result in harm "Loss" Avoidable harm to people, property, processes or the environment "near- miss" A near miss type incident is an unplanned event, which under slightly different circumstances, could have resulted in harm. "Risk" The probability that injury or damage will occur. "safety" Safety is the control of accidental losses to an acceptable level. "safe" Free from any hazard
